Silhouette shades combine two sheers, one in the front and one in back, with a horizontal fabric suspended between the two sheers. When fully raised, Silhouette window shadings completely disappear into the headrail for an
unobstructed view. Available in 2”, 2 ½”, 3”, and 4” vane sizes, the general rule is the larger the vane the
better the view-through. New and updated fabrics offer a large variety of choice for both texture and colour. Silhouette shades come standard with a fabric wrapped cassette headrail, although it may sometimes be offered in a metal colour coordinated cassette. Continuous cord loop is a standard control option, but a multitude of controls are available including motorization, powerwand, and cordless. Fabrics are anti-static, dust and stain resistant, though infrequent dusting may be necessary. Quick tip: Never try to stick the vacuum hose between the two sheers. Simply use the upholstery attachment and vacuum in the closed position. If something gets caught inside, blow it out first, then vacuum it up. Like with any fabric shade, stains can be more difficult to remove. You can try spot cleaning for light stains, otherwise professional cleaning is recommended.
